Shipping/DOA Policies

Shipping information:

Free Shipping Details:

$500 free shipping orders must be all the same condition fish.  For example, the order must be all conditioned or all quarantined fish.  Orders that ship Air Cargo ship for 50% off shipping over $500 and free over $600.  

Weather:

Moon Valley reserves the right to not ship orders pending weather, please keep that in mind when placing an order.

UPS/FedEx:

Shipments go out on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday if necessary.  Please do your best to be home for the delivery, if you have any questions please call or text 949-697-6546.  All Orders are shipped overnight with UPS or FedEx unless other arrangements are made.  Most of the time, orders are delivered by noon regardless of location.  

Air Cargo:

All fish 6" and bigger MUST ship air cargo and currently we only ship American Airlines.  Please contact us via phone or e-mail prior to placing the order to make sure this can be arranged.

DOA/24 Hour Policy:

Please do your best to be present at time of delivery.  If a DOA occurs, do not open the bag, please text or call me at 949-697-6546 within 1 hour. 

If your fish dies within the first 24 hours, please reach out and let us know.  Store credit will be issued.

Verified and accepted DOA/24 Hour claims will be refunded in the form of store credit only, minus shipping.  

I realize there can be extenuating circumstances in some cases, which can be dealt with on a case by case basis, however please get in touch within 1 hour and do not open the bag if the livestock is DOA. 

**Certain species of known poor shippers will be ineligible for the 24 hour guarantee, however the DOA policy still applies.  We will make it known before payment is taken on these species when coordinating timeline/conditioning.  We do our best to mitigate risk in these situations with careful shipping practices as well as sending an extra fish sometimes to increase the odds.  Extra fish are yours to take to the LFS for store credit, give/trade to another reefer etc..
